"Any lightweight invoicing tool for freelancers that won't take a week to set up? Sick of chasing clients in spreadsheets."
Reddit · X
Find leads on autopilot.
Reply while they are still asking.
We find the people on Reddit and X already asking for what you sell, score every match for real buying intent, and email you the ones worth five minutes — while the thread is still live.
$12 for a 7-day pass. No subscription, no setup call. We read your site and build the keyword list for you.
"FreshBooks keeps overcomplicating simple invoices. Anyone switched to something lighter this year?"
"FreshBooks keeps overcomplicating simple invoices for us. Has anyone moved to something lighter without losing recurring billing?"
"just cancelled our billing tool. open to suggestions before I go and roll my own again."
The phrases your buyers type on Reddit and on X — and into Google afterwards
THE WHOLE PRODUCT
Two channels where buyers decide. One subscription, both.
There is no channel to pick and no add-on to buy. Every plan covers both — you are only ever choosing how many products you track.
Reddit monitoring
X / Twitter monitoring
Both land in the same scored feed — not two dashboards you have to remember to open.
WHY REDDIT AND X
One reply. Three compounding channels.
Answer the right thread once. It keeps working long after the conversation goes quiet.
“What are you all using for a 40 person team? Willing to pay.”
We hit the same wall around 40 seats. What actually fixed it for us was…
Same day, you get the click.
The person asking is already shopping. They get a real answer, and so does everyone who lands on the thread after them.
We hit the same wall around 40 seats. What actually fixed it…
Weeks later, you get the traffic.
Reddit outranks most vendor pages. The thread starts pulling in people who had never heard of you.
Months later, you get the customer.
Nobody arrives cold. They read a straight answer in a real thread long before they saw your pricing page — so the ones who turn up already trust you.
MentionSpot finds those threads for you — on Reddit and on X.
HOW IT WORKS
Paste your URL once. MentionSpot handles the finding, you handle the conversations.
HOW SCORING WORKS
How a thread gets scored and turned into an alert.
Pick a post to see the relevance meter, the intent label, and the alert MentionSpot sends. Always a link back to the thread, never a drafted reply.

THE PRODUCT
Everything you need to show up first, in one inbox.
Scored for intent, not keywords
Competitor mention tracking
Alerts where you will see them
Brand watch and competitor mentions land in the same feed — not two dashboards you have to remember to open.
THE PROBLEM
Your next customer is already typing the question. You are just not there to see it.
By the time you find it, it's cold
Searching Reddit by hand means you find the “what tool should I use?” thread a week late, buried on page four, after a competitor already answered it.
A keyword match isn't a buyer
Alert tools catch every mention, useful or not. MentionSpot tells the difference between someone venting about a category and someone about to buy, and only pings you for the second one.
An AI-written reply gets you banned
We deliberately do not generate replies. Reddit is unforgiving with machine-written comments, and the account on the line is yours. Every word you post is your own, which is also the only version that works.
SIMPLE PRICING, NO SALES CALL
Every plan includes every feature. And both channels.
Reddit monitoring, X monitoring, buyer-intent scoring and competitor mentions are on every plan. You are choosing how many products you track and how much volume you need — never which parts of the product you get. No annual contracts, no “talk to sales”.

01Is there a free trial?
No — there is a $12 seven-day pass instead, and we think you will prefer it. A free trial means handing over a card and remembering to cancel before it quietly becomes $24 a month. The pass is a one-time charge that expires on its own: full access to everything for a week — Reddit and X monitoring, scoring and competitor mentions, no subscription created, no card kept on file, nothing to cancel. If it worked, you pick a plan deliberately. If it did not, you paid $12 and we never charge you again.
02How does MentionSpot find conversations?
You paste your website. MentionSpot reads it and builds a keyword and topic model in the language your buyers actually use, plus a starting list of competitors. From then on, every new post and comment across Reddit is matched against that model through the official API, along with your X keywords. It reads only. No scraping, no browser automation, no bot signing in as you.
03What is buyer-intent scoring?
Keyword matching finds mentions; it cannot tell an idle reference from a real buying signal. MentionSpot runs each match through an AI model that rates relevance 0–100 and labels the intent stage: researching, actively tool-seeking, discussing a competitor, or venting a pain you solve. You set the score that decides what pings you and what waits in the digest, and nothing below your threshold is deleted — it stays one click away in the filtered view.
04Does MentionSpot write or post replies for me?
No, on both counts, and this is deliberate rather than a limitation we plan to remove. MentionSpot never posts, comments, votes or DMs, and it never generates reply text. Reddit is unforgiving with machine-written comments and the account at risk would be yours, but the bigger reason is simpler: a generated reply does not work. The five minutes of writing was never the expensive part. Finding the thread that deserves those five minutes is, and that is the part we do.
05What is competitor mention tracking?
Name your competitors once — five on Solo, fifteen on Growth, forty on Scale — and every mention of each one lands in your inbox, from posts and from comments, on Reddit and on X. Someone saying they are moving off a rival, or asking for an alternative to one, is the warmest lead you will find anywhere, and they announce themselves in public. Every mention lands in the same scored feed as your own.
06How do notifications work?
When a conversation clears the relevance and intent bar you set, it is delivered to your email in real time; everything else rolls into a daily digest. Delivery runs as a durable background job, so alerts arrive even when you are logged out or offline — a lead never waits for you to open the app. Every alert carries the thread, why it matched, and a link. Never a drafted reply.
07Do I need my own Reddit or X API key?
No. Reddit and X API usage is included in your plan — there is nothing to obtain or bill separately. Solo tracks 5 keywords and 3 competitors on one product — every keyword is searched on Reddit and X, not one or the other. Growth is three products and three times the volume; Scale is eight products.
08Do I have to choose between Reddit and X?
Yes. Both, on every plan — there is no channel to choose and no upgrade to buy. Reddit and X are handled identically: read-only, scored the same way, alerted the same way, into the same inbox.
09Is any of this against Reddit’s rules?
MentionSpot reads public Reddit and X data through the official APIs and never writes anything on your behalf. Because you write and post every reply yourself from your own account, you stay responsible for following each subreddit’s rules and each platform’s content policy — which is how genuine participation works anyway.
