What people type on Reddit right before they pick a tool
WHY REDDIT
One reply. Three ways it keeps paying.
Reddit is the only channel where a single comment works on every timescale at once. That is the case for treating it as its own surface rather than one more feed to monitor.
It is live right now
Someone describes your problem today and buys whatever gets named first. Being in the thread while it is still open is the whole advantage, and most founders find these threads a week late.
Real-time signalsIt ranks on Google for years
Reddit threads sit on page one for a huge share of “best tool for…” and “alternative to…” searches. A useful comment on one of those keeps being read long after you wrote it.
Compounding SEOThe customer arrives already sold
Nobody who finds you in a thread turns up cold. They read a straight answer to the exact question they were asking, months before they ever saw your pricing page — so the ones who do turn up already trust you.
Warm inboundHOW IT WORKS
Paste your URL once. MentionSpot handles the finding, you handle the conversations.
Add your website
MentionSpot reads your product and builds the keyword and topic model your buyers actually use, plus the competitors worth watching. Edit any of it, or add your own.
We watch all of Reddit
Every new post and comment across the site is matched against your model through the official API. Read-only, no scraping, no bot signing in as you, and cross-posts are deduplicated before you ever see them.
AI scores every match
Each one gets a relevance score from 0 to 100 and an intent label — researching, tool-seeking, competitor mention, or a pain you solve. You set the bar that decides what pings you.
You reply, as you
Open the thread and answer from your own account, in your own words. MentionSpot never posts, votes, DMs, or drafts a reply — no AI-written comments, ever.
THE PRODUCT
Everything you need to show up first, in one inbox.
Brand watch and competitor mentions land in the same feed — not two dashboards you have to remember to open.
Scored for intent, not keywords
Competitor mention tracking
Alerts where you will see them
Comments matter as much as posts. Most brand and competitor mentions sit inside someone else’s thread, where Reddit’s own search will never surface them.
THE WHOLE PRODUCT
Two channels where buyers decide. One subscription, both.
Reddit is the surface this page is about, but it is never sold on its own — X monitoring is on the same plan, at the same volume.

X / Twitter monitoring
SIMPLE PRICING, NO SALES CALL
Reddit is on every plan. So is X.
There is no Reddit-only plan, because there is no Reddit-only buyer. Every plan tracks Reddit and X together and measures what the AI assistants say about you. You are choosing how many products you track — never which parts of the product you get.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK
Know exactly what you’re getting before you pay.
Something else on your mind? Just email us.
01Is there a free trial?
No — there is a $12 seven-day pass instead, and we think you will prefer it. A free trial means handing over a card and remembering to cancel before it quietly becomes $24 a month. The pass is a one-time charge that expires on its own: full access to everything for a week — Reddit and X monitoring, scoring and competitor mentions, no subscription created, no card kept on file, nothing to cancel. If it worked, you pick a plan deliberately. If it did not, you paid $12 and we never charge you again.
02How does MentionSpot find conversations on Reddit?
You paste your website. MentionSpot reads it and builds a keyword and topic model in the language your buyers actually use, plus a starting list of competitors. From then on, every new post and comment across Reddit is matched against that model through the official API. It reads only. No scraping, no browser automation, no bot signing in as you.
03Do I have to pick subreddits?
No. MentionSpot watches all of Reddit rather than a list you have to curate, which matters because the threads that convert are usually in the smaller communities nobody thinks to add. If a wide net starts pulling in off-topic matches, you exclude that source in one click rather than rebuilding a watchlist.
04Does MentionSpot write or post replies for me?
No, on both counts, and this is deliberate rather than a limitation we plan to remove. It never posts, comments, votes or DMs, and it never generates reply text. Reddit is unforgiving with machine-written comments and the account at risk would be yours, but the bigger reason is simpler: a generated reply does not work. The five minutes of writing was never the expensive part. Finding the thread that deserves those five minutes is, and that is the part we do.
05Do I need my own Reddit API key?
No. Reddit API usage is included in your plan — there is nothing to obtain or bill separately. Solo tracks 5 keywords and 3 competitors on one product — every keyword is searched on Reddit and X, not one or the other. Growth is three products and three times the volume; Scale is eight products.
06Is any of this against Reddit’s rules?
MentionSpot reads public Reddit data through the official API and never writes anything on your behalf. Because you write and post every reply yourself from your own account, you stay responsible for following each subreddit’s rules and Reddit’s content policy — which is how genuine participation works anyway.
SEVEN-DAY PASS · $12
Someone on Reddit is asking for what you built. Right now, in public.
Tell us what you’re building and who it’s for. We’ll show you a sample of the threads we’d surface, the Reddit posts already ranking for your keywords, and where you currently stand in AI answers — before you commit to anything.
Your buyers complain on X before they go looking on Reddit — and X monitoring is already on your plan, at the same keyword volume as Reddit.
